In the process of mixing refractory cements, and due to their very nature, they can produce substantial quantities of dust. This causes pollution as the fine particles are being released.
Which influences the total binding system such as cement and could be detrimental to the material in operation and purpose.
After investigating this issue, Durocast decided that the problem could be solved be re-engineering the mixes to reduce the amount of particles entering and polluting the immediate areas around the mixer. We now have a system that substantially reduces dust emissions by adding certain additives to these products. This technology can be used on most monolithic products including gunning materials.
