The technology regarding refractory mortars has improved substantially due to the availability of better raw materials and bonding methods.
Over the years we have carried out extensive tests on the grading of aggregates and their reaction with different binding systems.
Heat Setting Mortars should develop a strong ceramic bond at operating temperatures and good slag and chemical resistant’s. Air Setting Mortars do not rely on heat setting technology but use chemical binding systems.
Most of these products can be supplied premixed in buckets or dry in paper bags. It is also important to take cognizance of what installation parameters are required such as grab times, workability and shelf life.
