DESCRIPTION OF DUROSHIELD 60
A high strength rapid hardening concrete for industrial floors, walls, columns and roadways. The material has good heat and chemical resistance.

RECOMMENDED USE OF DUROSHIELD 60

  • Industrial flooring
  • Floors around furnaces up to 650°C
  • Food industry floors – resistant to sugar, oils, fats and many organic acids e.g. vinegar, lactic acid tannery effluent.
  • Chemical industry, refineries, acid plant, paper manufacturing
  • Refrigerated areas – able to harden under cold conditions.
  • Machine bases

NOT RECOMMENDED USE OF DUROSHIELD 60

  • For use with solutions of sodium or potassium hydroxides
  • Alkali detergents containing up to 4% can be used but caustic soda should not be used.
  • For continuous use with strong mineral acids.

NOTE

  1. Floor thickness, reinforcing and jointing should be designed according to expected loads. The surface finish is critical to good performances and should be carried out to give the surface regularity required.
  2. Installation instructions are available on request.
  3. Discuss your particular application with Durocast.
