Induction Furnace Linings

With our ever-changing economy and the issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which affects us all, cost saving has become more important during these trying times.

The foundry industry is particularly sensitive in this regard.
Durocast produces a range of coreless induction furnace lining materials to suit most applications. As Durocast, we are looking at our production model to try and decrease the manufacturing and raw material costs through better quality control systems.
The grading of all refractory materials is very important to products and if not correct, can cause premature failure of a furnace lining.
For Durocast to offer information and advise the clients, we require information from each user such as: Operating temperatures Size of furnace (tones) Quality of scrap, Existing refractory lining in furnace Average lives.
With this type of information, it allows Durocast ascertain if we can introduce cost savings by changing our methods and technology around the clients practice. It is most important that the operating temperature info is correct.
The most expensive raw materials used in the production of linings are the chemicals that control the frit on the hot face, and have major influence on production costs. The installation and fritting instructions must be adhered to as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
